Body-to-Body Massage: What It Is and How to Choose

"Body-to-body" is a term you will see attached to most sensual massages. What does it actually mean, how does the warm-oil version differ from the nuru-gel one, and how do you choose? A no-nonsense guide written straight from our salon's practice.

What body-to-body means

In a body-to-body massage it is not just the masseuse's hands at work – the contact comes from her whole body. Long glides of her chest, thighs and belly across your skin create a sensation hands simply cannot imitate. It is not random friction either: a good masseuse varies surface, pressure and rhythm so the tension builds gradually.

The warm-oil version

The classic, found in our relax massage programme. Warm oil allows slow, soothing glides and an overall softer experience. It is ideal for a first visit: the pace is easy, your body gets used to close contact step by step, and all you have to do is lie back and feel.

The nuru-gel version

Japanese gel made from nori seaweed is far more slippery than oil – which is exactly why the nuru massage is so intense. The masseuse glides over your entire body with almost no friction, and the contact is continuous and much closer. If you already know oil-based body-to-body and want to level up, nuru is the natural next step.

How to choose

  • First time? Go for oil and the relax programme – the gentlest entry into sensual massage.
  • Craving intensity? Nuru gel offers the closest contact a massage can give.
  • Can't decide? A longer session (90–120 minutes) can combine both – starting with oil, escalating with gel.

Hygiene and rules

Both versions follow the same rules: a shower before and after, spotless rooms, boundaries agreed in advance and the masseuse leading throughout. Prices for both programmes are in the price list – relax from 1500 CZK, nuru from 2300 CZK. Book daily 10:00–22:00 on +420 774 823 667.

Body-to-body vs. nuru: the difference in one place

The two terms are used interchangeably online, which is why so many guests arrive unsure what they booked. Body-to-body describes the technique — the masseuse works with her whole body rather than only her hands. Nuru describes the medium that technique uses: a thick, odourless gel made from nori seaweed. Every nuru massage is body-to-body; not every body-to-body massage is nuru.

  • Warm oil — softer glide, warmer to the touch, easy to rinse off. Part of our relax massage programme, and the usual choice for a first visit.
  • Nuru gel — far more slip, longer continuous glides, a distinctly cooler feel until body heat warms it. This is the nuru massage programme, and it needs a shower before and after.
  • Session length — oil-based body-to-body works from 30 minutes; nuru starts at 60, because gel preparation and two showers eat into the time.
  • Price — oil from 1,500 CZK, nuru from 2,300 CZK. Full breakdown in the price list.

What the session actually looks like

You shower first — always, and it is part of the booked time rather than an extra. The masseuse warms the oil or gel, starts with your back, and builds contact gradually: hands, then forearms, then full body. Nothing happens without a signal from you, and you can slow the pace or change position at any point. Afterwards there is a quiet moment and a second shower.

The single biggest difference guests report is not intensity but continuity. With enough lubricant the masseuse never has to break contact to re-apply, so the massage reads as one long movement rather than a series of strokes. That is the whole point of nuru gel, and the reason it costs more.

Which one should you book?

Book the oil version if this is your first sensual massage, if you prefer warmth over slipperiness, or if you only have half an hour. Book nuru if you have had a body-to-body massage before and want the contact to be closer and less interrupted, or if the sliding sensation itself is what appeals to you. If you are still undecided when you arrive, say so — the masseuse will talk it through before anything starts.

Frequently asked questions

Is nuru massage the same as body-to-body?

Not quite. Body-to-body is the technique — contact with the masseuse's whole body instead of just her hands. Nuru is one way of doing it, using nori-seaweed gel instead of oil. All nuru is body-to-body, but body-to-body can also be done with warm oil.

What does nuru gel feel like?

Thicker and more slippery than oil, and noticeably cool for the first minute until it warms to skin temperature. It has no colour and no strong scent, and it rinses off with plain water.

Is nuru gel safe for sensitive skin?

The gel is seaweed-based, water-soluble and free of fragrance, which is why it is used on bare skin for a full hour. Tell your masseuse about any allergy or skin condition before the session and she will use warm oil instead.

How long should a body-to-body massage be?

Sixty minutes is the realistic minimum for the full sequence — shower, warm-up, main massage, wind-down. Thirty minutes works for an oil-based session when you are short of time. Ninety or 120 minutes simply removes any sense of hurry.
